Planetarium and Observatory

Planetarium and Observatory

The building is located in the Technical School Complex at ul. Hoffmanna, serving as an astronomy laboratory and a centre for the popularisation of astronomy. The Grudziądz Planetarium was established in 1972 to mark the 450th anniversary of Nicolaus Copernicus’ visit to Grudziądz. The planetarium is complemented by an astronomical observatory where, using a Meniscas mirror telescope with an objective diameter of 150 mm and a focal length of 2250 mm, the spots on the sun, as well as the stars and planets, are observed.
